Mazaka named after history of the city in which it is established. Founded in 290 B.C., the city was the capital of independent Cappadocia Kingdom.

Mazaka, which continued to exist as an important city of Roman Empire as Kaisareia after.17 A.D. It became an important cultural and commercial center of Anatolian culture by taking the name Kayseri in the Ottoman Empire period.

Today, this rich identity, continues its existence in the modern Republic of Turkey , while adding the title of advanced industrial city to its name.
